ASSISTANT COACH Assistant Coach Jason Dobes To Our Loyal Fans,
First off, I would like to express my excitement to you of being able to represent you all for another season behind the Jets bench. Janesville has the best fan base and support in the NAHL. The energy and atmosphere you bring to our rink on game night is like none other. This is your hockey team and you represent our players in an unmatched fashion. When our organization started to build this year’s hockey team we knew we were going to have our ups and downs. This team is built differently compared to the past Jet teams. Younger-aged, high-end talented players eager to learn so they can continue moving up the hockey ranks. The way we started off this season was a huge positive for all of us. Our players showed how well they could play. When we started laying out the season plan our focus was the United States Hockey League (USHL) and Division 1 College Hockey. We want to never hold these players back and move them on as quickly as possible. Our own Wisconsin native Jason Ford was a high commodity at the Division 1 level to start the season and set his future in stone by committing to Bemidji State of the WCHA last month. We also have a handful more of these young players who are on the brink of making their own college commitments soon! We have also moved plenty of players to the USHL level as well. Wisconsin native Austin Vieth to the Waterloo Black Hawks, Ruslan Pedan to the Tri-City Storm, Jack Billings to the Green Bay Gamblers and Zach Diamantoni to the Dubuque Fighting Saints. Ultimately, our plan is being executed perfectly so far. The backing and support of you all (our fan base) has made this an easy path for us to accomplish our game plan. Finally, I cannot express to you the gratitude that our players and coaches have for all of you and what you do for us. If you could only hear the comments made by our young players on how “awesome” it is to play in front of you. It’s a great feeling as a coach, to know that the atmosphere around your team boosts their confidence and playing ability. Your players love it here in Janesville and I personally want to thank you all for what you do for the Jets!!! This is your team so be LOUD & Proud of your Janesville Jets.
