September 4, 2012-- Janesville Jets Media Alert
Because the Janesville Ice Arena (JIA) rink renovations are being finalized, the Janesville Jets preseason exhibition game scheduled for this Friday in Janesville has been moved and will be held at the Oregon Community Sports Arena (OCSA).
The OCSA is located at 100 North Perry Parkway, Oregon, WI. Start time is 7 PM. Tickets are only $4. The cost for kids wearing Jr. Jets jerseys will be $3.
"The Janesville Ice Arena isn't quite ready to host a game yet so we moved our exhibition game against the Twin City Northern Lights up the road a bit to the Oregon rink," stated Janesville Jets President Bill McCoshen. "We fully expect JIA to be ready and rocking for our NAHL home opener weekend against Fairbanks September 21-22."
The Twin Cities Northern Lights are a Tier 3 Junior A team playing in the Minnesota Junior Hockey League.
Jason Dobes, the Janesville Jets Assistant Coach, was the head coach of the Northern Lights two years ago.
The Janesville Jets play their first regular season game at the NAHL Showcase Tournament at the Schwan Super Rink in Blaine, Minnesota, on Wednesday, September 12, 10:30 AM vs. the Minot Minotauros. The Jets first regular season home game in Janesville is Friday, September 21, 7 PM vs the Fairbanks Ice Dogs.
