The Jets Would like to Congratulate Laurie Hallmark Gianitsos as our

"Hockey Mom of the Year"

Laurie was nominated by her billet-son Ruslan Pedan:

"I would like you to consider my billet mother,LAURIE (HALLMARK) GIANITSOS, as "Hockey Mom of the Year" Before hockey entered her life, she couldn't tell you the difference between the blue line and a blue light special at Kmart; "icing" was something you spread on baked goods; and as for "off sides".well, she still has trouble with that one.  She once referred to the penalty box as "a glass closet" and the player's uniforms as "cute colorful costumes with interesting, lederhosen-type shorts".  Now, after caring for an 11 year old Pee Wee and up to 4 Janesville Jets players, she knows hockey better than Janet Gretzky.  She logs more miles than the Jets Van Galder bus, and watches more hockey games than a fan with an NHL Center Ice subscription."
